Use the same art provider for a floating frame detached from an existing
wxAuiManager as was used by the original wxAuiManager itself, to ensure
that the appearance of this frame is consistent with the appearance of
its parent.
Implementing this required adding wxAuiDockArt::Clone() to allow copying
it in the new frame and this patch also adds GetAuiManager() to
wxAuiFloatingFrame, similar to the existing method in wxAuiNotebook, in
order to allow changing the dock art from the application code if
desired.
Closes https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/2022Closes#18882.
This completes the changes of the previous commit and should ensure that
UnInit() is always called, whoever is destroyed first -- the managed
window or the manager itself.
Also update the documentation to mention that calling UnInit()
explicitly is not necessary any longer.
Apply the utility from https://github.com/codespell-project/codespell/
to fix spelling issues in the headers under both include and interface
directories and add a file with a couple of exceptions.
The exact command line used was:
$ codespell -w -I misc/scripts/codespell.ignore -i 3 in*
Do for GTK 3 the same thing as was already done for macOS in 68030cae69
(Added wxAUI_MGR_LIVE_RESIZE flag for live sash sizing, the default on
wxOSX, 2009-01-07) and for the same reasons: sash feedback is simply
invisible with this port and so can't be used.
This allows to check if it's worth specifying wxAUI_MGR_LIVE_RESIZE or
not and allows to get rid of the corresponding menu item in the sample
if it doesn't do anything anyhow.
The behaviour of these functions for the tools containing controls is
counter-intuitive but changing it now would silently break existing code
working around the current semantics, so just document it instead.
See #16552.
Don't store the buttons used by a pane separately, but take them
directly from the flags, as this ensures that updating the pane flags,
e.g. by calling CloseButton(false), really removes the corresponding
button.
This also makes wxAuiPaneButton helper completely unnecessary, so just
remove it to simplify the code.
Closes https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/1723Closes#18223.
No real changes, just clean up sources by removing trailing spaces from
all the non-generated files.
This should hopefully avoid future commits mixing significant changes
with insignificant whitespace ones.
Mark the function as deprecated. It should not be part of the public API. It
cannot be overridden and manually calling it has no lasting effect because
DrawCaption calls it as well.

The code handling the mouse events assumed the drop down button with was
10px, but wxAuiMSWToolBarArt uses a different width (14px). So clicking
on the left-most 4 pixels was not registered as a drop down click.
Allow the get (and set) the width of the drop down button of the
ToolBarArt.
Increase the detection area for drop down events, because the drop down
button is drawn 1 pixel larger than the actual size.
Rename some variables where dropdown was used instead of overflow.
Closes https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/939
Window initial/minimum/maximum sizes are now treated as logical pixels.
Furthermore, many margins and paddings are now converted using
wxWindow::FromDIP() to allow their growth in accord with screen DPI.
This places buttons on toolbars more apart on high DPI screens providing
space for easier touch operations.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

Use the same short names as are used by the event table macros for the event
type constants themselves. This makes them much more comfortable to use, e.g.
Bind(wxEVT_BUTTON) compared to Bind(wxEVT_COMMAND_BUTTON_CLICKED).
The old long names are still kept for backwards compatibility and shouldn't be
removed as it doesn't really cost anything to continue providing them, but all
new event types should only use the short versions.

This doesn't make much sense and disallowing it makes check items consistent
with radio ones as previously you could set up a dropdown for the former but
not for the latter.
Also update the documentation of the relevant methods.

Many classes were documented as being in a wrong library, mostly a lot of
wxbase vs wxcore confusion but we even managed to document wxAuiManager as
being in wxbase. Correct all this.
