The type mismatch between the value returned from the model and the one returned by the control cannot be due to any user action, so it is quite useless to show it to the user, it is only relevant for the developers. Licence
wxWidgets licence is a modified version of LGPL explicitly allowing not distributing the sources of an application using the library even in the case of static linking.
