Add wxPNGImageData and use it to store variables that used to be local
in wxPNGHandler::LoadFile() and could be clobbered by the use of
longjmp() and pass these variables to DoLoadPNGFile(), which still uses
longjmp(), whereas LoadFile() doesn't any longer.
In addition to fixing the warning, this allows to use C++ dtors for
freeing memory and makes the code shorter and, arguably, more clear than
the original version (although written in an unusual way) and definitely
more clear than the version with the warning fix.
This reverts commit 99ea06203a ("Fix
clobbering warning") and replaces it with a different solution to the
same problem.
This seemed like a good idea many years ago when plenty of code (inside and
outside of wxWidgets) couldn't deal with the real alpha correctly, but this is
not the case since quite some time any more and producing an image without
alpha channel when loading a PNG image with transparency is more surprising
than useful now, so don't do it any more.
Closes#3019.
This compiler is not being developed since several years and almost certainly
can't be used to build the current wxWidgets sources anyhow, so remove all
support for it, including a lot of extremely ugly workarounds for its bugs
with template functions.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

Add pngprefix.h file generated by libpng configure/make process (which we
don't run during wxWidgets build, so this is something that will need to be
redone manually whenever libpng is upgraded, the procedure for doing this is
documented in docs/tech/tn0025.txt) in order to use "wx_" prefix for all
libpng public symbols. This should avoid at least some problems due to the
conflicts between the built-in libpng and shared libpng loaded into the
process as GTK+ libraries dependency under Unix.
Also rename wx_png_{warning,error} to use upper case PNG for consistency with
wx_PNG_stream_{reader,writer} and to avoid conflict with png_{warning,error}()
which we now rename to have "wx_" prefix.

The company behind MGL toolkit (SciTech) doesn't exist since several years and
this port is not used by anybody, so remove it to ease maintenance burden.

The mask was actually only used when it was initialized (or, conversely, the
mask was always initialized when it was used) but gcc doesn't seem to notice
this and still warns that mask components "may be used uninitialized in this
function".
Suppress the warnings by always initializing the mask, even if we don't use
it.

Additionally renamed wxOSX' private wxNativePrinterDC::Ok() function to IsOk().
Didn't deprecate the various Ok() functions: given the amount of changes already introduced in 3.0 a trivial one like this seems more suitable for after 3.0.

Applied patch by snowleopard2 fixing a bunch of typos such as misspellings and double words in the documentation. Combined the patch with some local queued typos waiting to be committed as well as adding new typo fixes inspired by the patch.
Function names with American spelling were not changed nor was third-party code touched. The only code changes involve some changes in strings that are translated ("Can not" -> "Cannot").

Instead of converting alpha to a mask an attempt is made to write a palettised PNG file with an ARGB palette using a maximum of 256 transparency values where formerly just up to one was supported. GIF images with 256 colours and transparency can now also be saved as a palettised PNG instead of true colour, making the image a lot smaller.

When explicitly requesting saving as a palettised image but then later on that turns out to not be possible (or desired) the image would be marked as PNG_COLOR_TYPE_GRAY or PNG_COLOR_TYPE_GRAY_ALPHA. Simply set the colour type to RGB if this occurs also updated the unit test to catch this case.
This is similar to the fix in r66590 but that one was related to wxUSE_PALETTE == 0 cases.

With wxUSE_PALETTE set to 0 and the user forcing to want a wxPNG_TYPE_PALETTE format the image would (partially) be marked as PNG_COLOR_TYPE_GRAY or PNG_COLOR_TYPE_GRAY_ALPHA instead and also saving would fail later on. Instead detect this specific case and save in the wxPNG_TYPE_COLOUR format.

Since upgrading to a newer libpng its structure members are marked as deprecated (probably as a way to discourage their direct usage). Replaced accessing them by using function calls instead.

Add simple wxVersionInfo class holding the version information.
Also add GetLibraryVersionInfo() static method to wx{JPEG,PNG,TIFF}Handler,
wxStyledTextCtrl and wxXmlDocument classes and wxGetZlibVersionInfo() and
wxGetLibraryVersionInfo() global functions using it.

This means that wxLog::DoLogRecord() can now retrieve the file name, line
number and the function where the message was logged.
An unfortunate consequence of this change is that now
if ( condition )
wxLogError("Whatever");
results in a warning from g++ 4.x with -Wparentehses, so extra parentheses had
to be added in many places.
Finally, also allow storing arbitrary attributes in wxLogRecordInfo. This had
to be added to implement our own overloaded wxLogStatus() and wxLogSysError()
and will probably be useful for the others as well.
