This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.
Closes#14487.

Our client size calculation can be wrong for reasons beyond our control,
notably on Ubuntu 12.04 with overlay scrollbars where the GtkScrolledWindow
"scrollbar-spacing" is wrong. By using the true size from size-allocate
when it becomes available, we can recover from an earlier incorrect client
size calculation. See #14871

This signal has been removed from GTK3. Instead have wxPizza keep track of child
size, and use gtk_widget_set_size_request() for wxWindows in native containers.

wxGTK wxMenuBar used its own SetInvokingWindow/UnsetInvokingWindow() and
related functions instead of reusing the base class Attach/Detach() which
exist for exactly the same purpose. This resulted in unnecessary code
duplication and confusion and, since the changes of r64104, resulted in
asserts due to use of SetInvokingWindow() for non-popup menus.
Fix this by removing the wxGTK-specific functions and doing the work they used
to do in (now overridden) Attach() and Detach(). Also call Attach/Detach()
instead of these functions from wxGTK wxFrame and wxMDIParentFrame code.

This commit is huge but there are no non-white-space changes in it.
Some files containing third-party sources (src/msw/wince/time.cpp,
src/x11/pango*.cpp) were left unchanged.

classes for wxMDI{Parent,Child}Frame and wxMDIClientWindow.
Also use generic MDI implementation for wxMotif as it seems to be more
functional and definitely is more maintained (we probably should use the
generic version for wxGTK too).

2. use HandleWindowEvent() everywhere as more obvious and convenient shortcut for GetEventHandler()->ProcessEvent(); also for consistency with wxGTK where it's required

Worth norting from the GTK+ docs: "For future usage, direct use of the GSignal API is recommended, this avoids
significant performance hits where GtkArg structures have to be converted into GValues."

wxDeprecated KeyCode.
wxDeprecated old wxList compat methods.
Replaced a large number of them in the gtk build already, but there are
still plenty more so feel free to help nuke them as you find them.
s/^I/ / and s/TRUE/true/ etc. a couple of these too.
