Actually the whole point of this excercise was to try to make a nice pdf file
with contents tree and thumbnail pages using pdflatex, but it keeps depleting
tex's resources :-(

Also found out that you cannot create top-level windows
in a GUI thread other than the main one. No idea why.

wxFileDlg now interprets a default dir of "." as
the current working dir,
dialog and frame honour "wxApp::DeleteFrameOnExit".
