5276b0a53c Use wxDELETE() and wxDELETEA() when possible. 
Use wxDELETE[A]() functions which automatically NULL out their arguments after
deleting them instead of doing it manually.

Closes #9685.

7eb670ac14 Correct query for formats supported by wxDataObject in wxGTK wxClipboard. 
We wrongly asked wxDataObject for the formats it could provide on output
instead of those it accepted as input in wxClipboard::GetData() in wxGTK.
This could result in clipboard not working for "asymmetrical" data objects.

See #11811.

439c7eae9b Fix crash when accessing clipboard before entering the main loop. 
Check that we have an event loop running before yielding to it.

Notice that we really do need an event loop in wxClipboardSync as events must
be dispatched for the clipboard code to work so while not using the event loop
if it doesn't exist would have fixed a crash as well, it wouldn't allow to use
the clipboard in e.g. wxApp-derived class OnInit().

1c54277e53 Clear targets in wxClipboard::Clear(). 
This seems to fix a memory leak rendering clipboard unusable after running wxGTK applications for a long time (see #10813).

9a83f86094 Globally replace _T() with wxT(). 
Standardize on using a single macro across all wxWidgets sources and solve the name clash with Sun CC standard headers (see #10660).

d48b06bd90 check in the 'selective yield' patch (see ticket #10320): 
- implements YieldFor() with event filtering for wxMSW and wxGTK,
  adds TODO markers in other ports;
- replaces wxYield() in GTK's clipboard code with a wxTheApp->YieldFor() call, thus fixing possible reentrancies 
(and modifies clipboard sample to test synchronous IsSupported calls)
- replaces wxYieldIfNeeded() calls in wxProgressDialog with wxTheApp->YieldFor() calls, so that it processes only 
UI/user-input events, thus fixing the race condition visible in the "thread" sample
- documents the new functions

2c906a4907 The null byte at the end of the string should not be included in the 
size of a text data object in the clipboard, otherwise we have to
subtract it when the data is requested and that results in truncating
one byte for other data formats.

d394f0c93f ICCCM says that the TIMESTAMP atom is required, so provide it. This is patch 1424755 from Timothée Lecomte. 
Additionally fix a memory leak from a gdk_atom_name.
(Forward port from 2.6 branch to both HEAD gtk sources)

9fa72bd2a6 Use g_signal* instead of deprecated gtk_signal*. Use proper casts for the arguments. 
Worth norting from the GTK+ docs: "For future usage, direct use of the GSignal API is recommended, this avoids
significant performance hits where GtkArg structures have to be converted into GValues."

c7d6d88330 Comitted GTK part of clipboard patch, that 
enables non-unicode strings to be seen in
    Unicode apps. This is relevant since KDE
    apps paste non-Unicode text.

ca11abde11 Lots more Unicode fixes.
