Set width of the new columns to wxLIST_DEFAULT_COL_WIDTH and not 0 in
the generic version: this is more compatible with the MSW version and
more useful.
Document that omitting list column width in XRC results in columns of
default, rather than null, as previously, width.
We accidentally ended up with two functions doing the same thing, since
DoGetBorderSize() was added in 743b426605 (Added DoGetClientBestSize()
and use it for a couple of controls in wxMSW., 2009-06-22), as we
already had GetWindowBorderSize() added even earlier in 333d70525c
(added wxWindow::GetWindowBorderSize(), 2006-11-25), so remove the
redundant non-public function and use GetWindowBorderSize() everywhere.
This does change the behaviour of GetWindowBorderSize() in wxMSW, wxGTK
and wxUniv, as it now does what DoGetBorderSize() used to do, but this
should be an improvement, as DoGetBorderSize() implementation was more
precise.
Make configure behaviour consistent with CMake the default value of 0
for wxUSE_LIBLZMA in setup.h under MSW.
This also means that dependency on the system liblzma is not picked up
by default when --disable-sys-libs configure option is used, as this was
rather unexpected.
Using non-PCRE system regex library, which was the only build variant
when wxHAS_REGEX_ADVANCED was not defined, is not supported any more, so
simplify the code by not testing for it.
Replace the use of Henry Spencer's regex library with PCRE at the build
level and enable wxUSE_PCRE in wxRegEx code to switch to PCRE-based
implementation there.
Note that this has to be done unconditionally because there is no simple
way to select between the previously used regex library and PCRE at the
makefiles level.
We could still keep the possibility to use the system regex library
under Unix, but this doesn't seem to be worth doing, as we don't support
Unicode REs properly when using it (and never did), so drop support for
this too.
Using numbered lists with multiline items doesn't work in Markdown, so
remove it.
Also put the "IDE" part of the instructions before the "command line"
one, as it is probably use much more commonly.
No real changes to contents.
Add yet another wxDEPRECATED_XXX macro, this one simply expanding to
C++14 [[deprecated]] attribute if it's available and nothing otherwise.
It's a bit ridiculous to have so many different macros for deprecating
things, but the new one is useful because the standard attribute can be
used to deprecated enum elements, which is impossible with MSVC-specific
__declspec(deprecated).
Using c_str() for arguments to wxString::Printf(), Format() and
wxLogXXX() is useless since wx 2.9 days, so simply remove them.
No real changes, this is just a (long due) cleanup.
In newer doxygen versions, the label was being used as the caption
for the image and not appearing in the 3rd column. The only way to
really fix this seems to be to make the image the last column so that
it doesn't eat the remaining text (there is no way to escape it
apparently).
This provides a less intrusive, and also usable by the end users rather
than only by the developers, way of doing the same thing as the just
added wxSizerFlags::DisableConsistencyChecks() does.
The function was documented to not generate the events, but actually
did generate wxEVT_TEXT ones, even if it didn't generate wxEVT_SPINCTRL.
This was inconsistent with wxGTK and generic wxSpinCtrlDouble used under
MSW, so change this to avoid the unwanted events.
Previously, wxSpinCtrl (using native control) and wxSpinCtrlDouble
(using the generic implementation) behaved differently in this case,
with the former changing its value but the latter keeping the last valid
value instead.
Make them behave the same by resetting the value in both cases and
document this behaviour.
We didn't document using wxwin.m4 at all anywhere, so do it at least
minimally now (we still need a separate page documenting its full
functionality) and also show a simple makefile using wx-config.

These paths are actually URLs and so the special URL characters must be
percent-encoded in them.
Document this and add a test checking that this is how it works.
