d159e96495 Improve layout in the samples to avoid problems under Mac. 
Changes the samples to look better under Mac and avoid the worst problems such
as overlapping buttons or truncated controls.

Closes #11651.

526954c596 Globally use "wxWindows licence" consistently. 
Use "wxWindows licence" and not "wxWidgets licence" (the latter doesn't
exist) and consistently spell "licence" using British spelling.

See #12165.

9a83f86094 Globally replace _T() with wxT(). 
Standardize on using a single macro across all wxWidgets sources and solve the name clash with Sun CC standard headers (see #10660).

3. flicker fixes for the generic version
4. sizing fixes for GTK+ version
