This doesn't make sense, these functions can only be ever used with a single
parameter ("cellpos" for the former and "cellspan" for the latter), so just
hard-code it inside the functions themselves.
No real changes, just make the code less confusing.
Introduce a new type for XRC values imaginatively called just "pair of
integers" which can be used for values not expressed in pixels and hence for
which it doesn't make sense to use dialog units nor to scale them by the DPI.
Use this new type for wxGridBagSizer position and span elements to prevent
them from being changed when using higher than normal DPI.

The return NULL statement at the bottom of
wxAuiXmlHandler::DoCreateResource() is never reached because the catch-all
else branch above it always returns. Fix by removing the bottom return
statement (same as how other *XmlHandler::DoCreateResource() methods
handle this, and not by changing the else into an else if).
Add XRC handler for wxAuiManager and include the existing wxAuiNotebook
handler into it (but notice that wxAuiToolBar handler added by a later #15686
in f269f868d7 remains separate).
Also update the AUI dialog in the sample and stop hardcoding its size in
pixels.
See #13520.
Call ForceUpper() if this attribute is specified.
Currently this is done only for wxTextCtrl but could be extended to wxComboBox
later too if necessary.
Handle the `<hideitems>` property for sizers and document it.
Also group `minsize` together with `hideitems` in `stdSizerProperties`, which
is used by all sizer classes except `wxStdDialogButtonSizer` in the XRC
schema.
Windows CE doesn't seem to be supported by Microsoft any longer. Last CE
release was in early 2013 and the PocketPC and Smartphone targets supported by
wxWidgets are long gone.
The build files where already removed in an earlier cleanup this commit
removes all files, every #ifdef and all documentation regarding the Windows CE
support.

Pixel values in XRC can never be correct for high resolution displays, unlike
the pixel values passed to wxWidgets API, which could be already adjusted to
account for the resolution or obtained from resolution-dependent text metrics,
so scale them by the factor appropriate for the current resolution
automatically.
Factor out this code to a reusable ParseValueInPixels() function instead of
repeating it in GetSize() and GetDimension() (and using a hack to reuse it
from GetPosition()).
No real changes, just made some error messages more precise.
The shadow width was only used by wxMotif and bezel face not used at all since
a very, very long time, so just remove these methods from the ports which still
had them (just doing nothing) and remove support of the corresponding XRC
attributes.
Typically to achieve horizontal alignment inside a horizontal sizer a spacer
needs to be inserted before the element, so explicitly say this instead of
advising to set proportion which wouldn't allow aligning the item.
This flag is more difficult to deal with than the others as it can stand for
either wxALIGN_CENTRE_VERTICAL, wxALIGN_CENTRE_HORIZONTAL or both depending on
the sizer it appears in and the other flags used. It is also trickier to give
good error messages for it as we shouldn't complain about e.g.
wxALIGN_CENTRE_VERTICAL if it doesn't appear in the XRC at all and only
wxALIGN_CENTRE does.
Check for definitely invalid combinations such as wxALIGN_CENTRE|wxEXPAND or
wxALIGN_CENTRE combined with other alignment flags in both directions and
accept everything else.
Also remember the flag names with quotes now, instead of adding the quotes
when building the error message later because the latter doesn't work when we
include additional explanation for wxALIGN_CENTRE in the flag description.
This allows to give the exact line number of the error, unlike asserts that
happen in wxSizer code which don't point exactly to the error location when
sizers are created via XRC.
It also has the advantage of allowing to detect wrong use of wxALIGN_LEFT and
wxALIGN_TOP, unlike the asserts which can't do it because the value of both of
these flags is 0.
A few $Id$ references remained after commit
3f66f6a5b3 or appeared in newly added files.
Remove the lines containing svn keywords except when it concerns
third-party files. In that case keep the line as-is or collapse it to the
keyword if it had been expanded to contain wx commit information (only
occurs with src/zlib/ChangeLog).
The only attribute for this control is a boolean "running" which can be set to
start the indicator on load.
Update the schema, documentation and the XRC sample.
At least since the changes of r44456 (see #8378), minimal size specified in
the XRC for unknown controls didn't have any effect as it was set on
wxUnknownControlContainer itself and was overridden by the subsequent call to
SetSizerAndFit() which reset the minimal size to the best size of the control
contained in it, meaning that it was impossible to make this contained control
bigger by specifying min size greater than its best size in the XRC.
Fix this by honouring both the min size of the container and of the control
contained in it (and do the same thing for the max size for good measure).
To avoid not totally obvious interaction of overriding GetMinSize() and
DoGetBestClientSize() with sizer code, also position the child control
manually instead of using a sizer for it, it's an overkill for such a simple
case anyhow.

The content of <accel> property was taken verbatim and appended to the
(translated) label; this bypassed wx's internal accelerators translation
mechanism, because wxMenuItem code quite reasonably assumes that the
string passed to it is translated.
Explicitly use SetAccel() instead, to force translation. This matters
for languages such as German where e.g. Ctrl+ is translated as Strg+.

Similar to wxNotebook but even simpler as wxSimplebook doesn't use images.
Also add wxSimplebook::Create() as the version inherited from wxBookCtrlBase
didn't _quite_ work: we need to add wxBK_TOP style to prevent asserts due to
unknown alignment in the base class when creating wxSimplebook.

Don't try to set the hint unconditionally, this doesn't work with multiline
text controls and so resulted in an assert when trying to create one from XRC
since the changes of r76629.

This port is not used and is not being worked on, so remove it to reduce the
amount of the code which needs to be updated for every global change.
Also remove tests for VisualAge compiler which isn't used since ages.

The singleton dtor shouldn't delete the global singleton object, if this were
ever really possible, it would result in an infinite recursion. And even
though it was not (because ms_instance was reset to NULL before destroying the
object pointed by it), this delete was still confusing and unnecessary, so
remove it.

This fixes the DLL build of aui library as it can now be linked without
leaving any unresolved dependencies to the code in xml library (where
wxXmlNode is implemented).

Replacement of FUTURE_WXWIN_COMPATIBILITY_3_0 with WXWIN_COMPATIBILITY_3_0 in
r75532 resulted in tons of warnings as all code using wxSOLID and similar
constants now uses the deprecated methods taking int instead of the preferred
ones taking wx{Pen,Brush}Style (and similarly for wxFont{Style,Weight,Family}).
Fix all of them but this also would seem to mean that this change might not be
such a good idea at all.
