This reverts most of the changes from ee2b02614e (Add GetDPIScaleFactor to wxDC
and wxGraphicsContext, 2022-04-16).
This is not supposed to be used to scale pixels, FromDIP will be added instead.
Temporary use scale=1 in the drawing sample until FromDIP is added.
It can be used to scale coordinates and sizes to make them DPI aware.
In the common headers, use wxDisplay::GetStdPPIValue() as default DPI value,
so the correct values are used on Windows (96) and macOS (72).
In wxMemoryDC use m_contentScaleFactor as the DPIScaleFactor, see e4c2298e5e
(Use window scale factor for all MSW wxDCs associated with windows, 2022-04-04).
Emulate a 1-pixel pen width as closely as possible.
This reverts:
334cf1cc91 (Take HiDPI scale into account for wxGCDC 0-width pen, 2021-04-03)
0d80050057 (Make wxGCDC behavior with 0-width wxPen consistent with MSW wxDC, 2021-03-02)
See #19077, #19115
Remove support for Borland C++ compiler, it wasn't tested since a long
time and probably didn't work anyhow and there was no interest in
keeping support for it since many years.
See https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/2087
It is documented as using pixel size, and this is also used in all other contexts.
For clarity, rename all parameters to sizeInPixels.
This partially reverts d5020362ff
It seems wrong to have this function in wxGraphicsContext only and not
in wxGraphicsRenderer, as this makes it impossible to create a context
associated with a non-default renderer while it doesn't cost us anything
to allow doing this.
No real changes, just clean up sources by removing trailing spaces from
all the non-generated files.
This should hopefully avoid future commits mixing significant changes
with insignificant whitespace ones.
This method allows to retrieve the window this context is associated
with, if any.
Add "wxWindow*" argument to wxGraphicsContext ctor and provide the
window pointer to it when available, i.e. when creating the context from
a wxWindow directly or from wxWindowDC, which is also associated with a
window, in platform-specific code.
No real changes yet.
This is more consistent with the other headers, which are safe to
include even when the corresponding feature is turned off.
Also remove the now redundant wxUSE_ENH_METAFILE checks in the source
code including this header.
See https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/951
Current behavior of AddArcToPoint() when there is no current point is not
documented and moreover it is not the same in native macOS and in generic
implementation. Under macOS nothing is done and "no current point" error
is raised but under other ports (generic implementation) only arc
is drawn (without initial line).
When there is no current point, in similar functions AddCurveToPoint(),
AddQuadCurveToPoint() it is initially set to the some known control point
of the curve but this approach cannot be applied to AddArcToPoint().
The only well defined fallback point seems to be (0, 0) and this option
is implemented here.
See #18086.
AddArcToPoint() on macOS port is implemented with native API (CGPathAddArcToPoint) so its behaviour should be considered as a reference for generic implementation used in another ports.
Closes#18086.
At least in wxMSW wxPen::GetStipple() returns a non-null (but invalid)
bitmap even when pen style is not wxPENSTYLE_STIPPLE, so don't test for
this bitmap when creating a wxGraphicsPen from a wxPen but for the style
directly.
This avoids using this invalid bitmap later in D2D code, where it
resulted in assert failures.
Also add a similar style test before calling wxPen::GetDashes() for
consistency, even if it doesn't seem to be strictly necessary.
See https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/553Closes#17958.
This is a helper method used only in wxWidgets itself and only once, so
just inline it at the point of use to avoid exporting an unnecessary
function in the public API.
It doesn't make much sense to require all the graphics backends to
create wxGraphicsPen from either wxPen or wxGraphicsPenInfo when the
former can be handled just once in the common code.
So do just this, leaving CreatePen() overload taking wxGraphicsPenInfo
where the real pen construction takes place and implementing
wxGraphicsPen creation from wxPen in the common wxGraphicsContext code.
This is not 100% backwards-compatible as any code inheriting from
wxGraphicsRenderer and overriding its CreatePen() will now be broken,
however this should be extremely rare (there is no good reason to
inherit from this class in the user code) and result in compile errors
if it does happen.
Add wxGraphicsContext::CreateFromNativeHDC() and wxGraphicsRenderer::
CreateContextFromNativeHDC() to allow creation not only from native
renderer object, but also from HDC, which is something universally
supported by win32 implementations.
A convenience helper for writing generic code that may operate on
different kinds of DCs, all supported by wxGraphicsContext, but without
knowing its specific type.
In AddRoundedRectangle() we know in advance (angle = 90 deg) or can easily determine (center point) parameters of all arcs at the vertices of the rectangle so instead of using AddArcToPoint() function which is generic and hence computationally expensive we can use AddArc() function which implementation is simpler and execution should be faster.
Reworked calculations of the center of the arc and start/end angles of the arc to get correct results for any spatial orientation of starting and ending lines.

This member wwas never initialized, resulting in erratic behaviour of
SetInterpolationQuality() which compared its parameter with m_interpolation.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

This is mostly important to allow using wxImage-based wxGraphicsContext
without requiring X server connection under Unix: as wxFont can't be used
without X server, we needed another way to create wxGraphicsFont in this case.

Provide a way to use wxGraphicsContext to draw on wxImage.
This is implemented internally by drawing on wxGraphicsBitmap which can be now
also created from wxImage.
Add a test of the new functionality to the image sample.

Additionally renamed wxOSX' private wxNativePrinterDC::Ok() function to IsOk().
Didn't deprecate the various Ok() functions: given the amount of changes already introduced in 3.0 a trivial one like this seems more suitable for after 3.0.

As the implementation of this method is basically the same for all ports move
it to the base class itself instead of requiring the derived classes to
implement it. Now the derived classes need to fill in m_width and m_height
members instead.
Do fill them when creating wxGraphicsContext in Cairo version.
