This function is currently used for relatively small icons in
wxArtProvider and wxSearchCtrl, so it shouldn't be a problem to use
wxIMAGE_QUALITY_HIGH from performance point of view and if it ever does
become a problem, the application could easily use wxImage::Rescale()
with a different option directly instead.
Define a single function and use it in both wxArtProvider and (the
generic implementation of) wxSearchCtrl instead of repeating the same
code elsewhere.
Note that another, but slightly different, version of RescaleBitmap()
still remains in wxPropertyGrid.
Deprecate undocumented wxArtProvider::RescaleBitmap() which is
completely useless now.
No real changes, this is just a refactoring.
Since OS X 10.12 it has been named macOS so it makes sense
to reference it in documentation as such, even when it
sometimes refers to older versions which were called (Mac) OS X.
Apply the utility from https://github.com/codespell-project/codespell/
to fix spelling issues in the headers under both include and interface
directories and add a file with a couple of exceptions.
The exact command line used was:
$ codespell -w -I misc/scripts/codespell.ignore -i 3 in*
For 32 bpp wxBitmap with both alpha channel and mask we have to apply mask on our own while drawing the bitmap because MaskBlt() API doesn't work properly with 32 bpp RGBA bitmaps. To do so we need to create a temporary bitmap with copy of original RGB data and with alpha channel being a superposition of the original alpha values and the mask.
See #18498.
No real changes, just clean up sources by removing trailing spaces from
all the non-generated files.
This should hopefully avoid future commits mixing significant changes
with insignificant whitespace ones.
Homogenize the behaviour of all ports when creating bitmaps with 0 width or
height: just fail always as it doesn't seem to make sense to support this.

For historical/compatibility reasons we handle this colour as transparent in
wxMSW when loading the bitmaps from resources, but this is rather not obvious
for the new users, so document it and provide a way of compensating for this
in the documentation as well.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

This simple function can be used to create a wxBitmap from the raw image data
in PNG format. It is just a thin wrapper around wxImage load functions under
almost all platforms but has two advantages:
1. It can be implemented natively for some platforms (currently only OS X).
2. It can be used in a single expression as it doesn't require creating a
temporary wxMemoryInputStream and this will be required by wxBITMAP_PNG()
macro that will be added soon.

This method was defined in wxBitmapBase which is not used by wxMSW (and wxOS2)
so it wasn't available there. Move the definition of the method inline and
reuse it for all ports, making it part of either wxBitmapBase or wxBitmap as
appropriate.
This is clearly ugly but we still have no good solution for deriving wxBitmap
from wxBitmapBase in wxMSW as it already inherits from MSW-specific wxGDIImage
there.
Also document that ConvertToDisabled() is only available when wxUSE_IMAGE==1.

Use "wxWindows licence" and not "wxWidgets licence" (the latter doesn't
exist) and consistently spell "licence" using British spelling.
