6cf1cf9e6d don't use use UTF-8 to PUA mapping hack, it's not necessary any more now that wxConvAuto can read non-UTF-8 files

a14337d63f The toolbar background for some colour schemes cannot be determined 
(for example Silver). So set an explicit background colour to avoid parts of
the background being painted wrongly.
