0bf38e11a3 Cleanup of ad84d9f (r77846) 
Remove the unnecessary 'CodePair' struct from a header, make the huge
keySymTab array const, and don't compile it for platforms that don't
use it, it's only used by wxX11

1033fb048d Fix wxGetKeyState() on non-X11 wxGTK backends (e.g., Wayland) 
wxGetKeyState() does not currently work on non-X11 GTK backends, and in some
cases it has been reported to crash.  It seems that the most likely use case
for wxGetKeyState() is to query the modifier keys, so on non-X11 backends, use
GTK+ calls to retrieve the modifier key state.

Non-modifier keys are not currently implemented, update the documentation to
mention this.

026659297b Fix path/URL confusion in wxLaunchDefaultBrowser() 
Add a helper wxLaunchBrowserParams struct with clearly distinct "url" and
"path" fields and GetPathOrURL() accessor which returns whichever is
appropriate.

This makes the code more clear and ensures that we never pass URLs (but only
file paths) to xdg-open under Unix as it doesn't handle them.

See #17227.

4484e1282e Check for just GTK+ 2.0 before including gtk2-compat.h 
This doesn't really change anything but makes the intention of the code more
clear: this check is needed not because things don't work with GTK+ < 2.14 but
because gtk2-compat.h is for GTK+ 2 only, while this source file is also used
for GTK+1.

3f66f6a5b3 Remove all lines containing cvs/svn "$Id$" keyword. 
This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.

If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

fe943278df Minor fixes to wxGTK3 with Broadway backend build. 
Reuse some functions for both Broadway and X11 backends. Fix invalid casts
from Broadway screen/display types to X11 ones.

571d991bb3 Merge wxUIActionSimulator fixes from SOC2010_GUI_TEST branch. 
Correct a lot of problems with the initial implementation, notably make the
API consistent across all platforms, e.g. all keyboard-related methods now
take just a wxKeyCode.

Add some useful higher-level helpers such as Text() and MouseDragDrop().

Improve documentation.

wxUIActionSimulator now works under MSW, GTK and OS X and is enabled by
default.

b886fae648 Main change is that we now close X11 display on program exit: as this couldn't 
be done in wxApp dtor (too early), a special module had to be created for it
and module dependencies added for the other modules which have to be cleaned
up while the display is still open.

Also a few minor formatting changes and removed a couple of unused variables
from wxApp.
