Using c_str() for arguments to wxString::Printf(), Format() and
wxLogXXX() is useless since wx 2.9 days, so simply remove them.
No real changes, this is just a (long due) cleanup.
GDK_SELECTION_CLIPBOARD is the prefered way of referencing
the GdkAtom for the clipboard, and using it provides a clearer
distinction between the primary clipboard and the normal clipboard.
GTK needs to be told the data on the clipboard can be stored
before the store is attempted.
Also, document that the clipboard behavior on GTK is very
dependent on the configuration of the user's machine.

Typical wxScopedArray initialization uses "new T[n]" expression, allow to omit
most of it and specify just n, the number of elements to allocate.
Use the new shorter form in the places where wxScopedArray(new ...) was used
(which is in almost all of them)

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

We called g_signal_connect("selection_get") in wxClipboard code each time its
AddData() method was called. This resulted in progressive but noticeable
slowdown as the handler was called more and more times.
Only connect to the handler once now.

For some incomprehensible reason, GDK_SELECTION_TYPE_STRING was hard coded for
all non-text formats even though it was clearly never the right format to use.
Use the correct value specified by the format instead.

We should quert for IsSupportedFormat(format, Set) before calling SetData()
with this format, not for IsSupportedFormat(Get) which is the default and was
used by the code.

Honour the requested selection in our selection handler instead of always
returning the default one resulting in wrong data being pasted when using
primary selection (e.g. middle clicking).

Use wxDELETE[A]() functions which automatically NULL out their arguments after
deleting them instead of doing it manually.

We wrongly asked wxDataObject for the formats it could provide on output
instead of those it accepted as input in wxClipboard::GetData() in wxGTK.
This could result in clipboard not working for "asymmetrical" data objects.

Check that we have an event loop running before yielding to it.
Notice that we really do need an event loop in wxClipboardSync as events must
be dispatched for the clipboard code to work so while not using the event loop
if it doesn't exist would have fixed a crash as well, it wouldn't allow to use
the clipboard in e.g. wxApp-derived class OnInit().

- implements YieldFor() with event filtering for wxMSW and wxGTK,

size of a text data object in the clipboard, otherwise we have to
subtract it when the data is requested and that results in truncating
one byte for other data formats.
