54e18afcca allow the user to pass NULL for the status widths; this was a feature supported by generic and MSW status bar but was not documented; document it; add menu item in the statbar sample for testing it

ba959d4c98 don't hardcode grey/white colours for non-MSW/Mac in InitColours(), use wxSystemSettings for all ports (even if some of them, such as wxGTK, still hardcode white for wxSYS_COLOUR_3DHILIGHT) (replaces patch 1883386)

390015c0ee generic status bar now: 
1. works correctly (handles negative widths according to the docs/MSW/Univ)
2. has shorter and simpler GetFieldRect() implementation
3. ... which is also more efficient (pixel widths are cached)

76880b8757 Preserve prior StatusBar contents when adding removing fields 
(consistant with MSW behaviour).

Made m_statusSring a wxArrayString, furthur simplification may
be possible if someone is interested and has the time.

1f361cddbf Implemented wxStatusBar::Push/PopStatusText. 
Implemented wxFrame::Push/PopSTatusText ( just forward to the status bar ).
Implemented wxFrame::DoGiveHelp, to show menu/toolbar help in the status bar.
Added Get/SetStatusBarPane to get/set the status bar pane the menu/toolbar help
  will be show in

f90566f5c3 Bunch of GTK theme changes. 
Make wxStatusBar use themes.
  SetStatusText() now uses Refresh() since I don't
    know why it shouldn't.
