wxUSE_UNICODE_UTF8 is not default anywhere since a long time.
Also mention that wxUSE_UNICODE==0 build is already deprecated and will
be dropped in the future.
Since OS X 10.12 it has been named macOS so it makes sense
to reference it in documentation as such, even when it
sometimes refers to older versions which were called (Mac) OS X.
This is more user-friendly than GitHub links with their tons of files.
Also use the recently added #vX.Y.Z_msw anchor to link directly to MSW
binaries downloads from the corresponding file.

This allows to easily test for the native control existence and also
whether wxGenericAnimationCtrl is really different from wxAnimationCtrl.
It also allows to avoid explicit check for wxGTK in common code.
This is necessary because MSVS versions as old as 2010 support it, even
if they don't have full C++11 support and so don't define __cplusplus
appropriately.
Extract the existing check for nullptr from wx/strvararg.h to wx/defs.h
in order to allow reusing it.
It defaults to 1, but can be set to 0 to force using the generic version
of the control even under GTK or Mac, where the native version is used
by default.
This can, unfortunately, be useful to work around various but multiple
native control limitations.
This is always 0 for any still supported compiler, so remove the option
and configure checks for it.
Still define it as 0 for compatibility, just in case it's used outside
of the library.
Mention that we use the legacy 0.2 bakefile branch.
Also use https://www.bakefile.org/ as Bakefile home page location.
Finally, use backticks around more files names, especially those
containing asterisks, that break Markdown syntax highlighting in Vim
otherwise.
This symbol can be predefined to use the libraries built with "vc14x" as
the compiler prefix. This can be useful to reuse the same binaries for
all ABI-compatible VC 14.x versions: 14.0 (MSVS 2015), 14.1 (2017) and
14.2 (2019).
Extend the description of library selection symbols used with MSVC to a
more general discussion of MSVC-specific symbols and document the
symbols affecting compiler prefix in this section too.
Adobe have announced the official EOL for flash is 2020 so we're
now at the point where support for flash just isn't interesting
any more.
It doesn't make sense to support it for the upcoming 3.2.x release
series, and the sample .swf files are lacking source code.
Closes https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/1427Closes#15886.
The binaries-related files haven't been updated yet because we don't
provide 2019 binaries yet (build/tools/msvs/officialbuild.bat still has
to be updated too).
No real changes, just clean up sources by removing trailing spaces from
all the non-generated files.
This should hopefully avoid future commits mixing significant changes
with insignificant whitespace ones.
Including <winsock.h> and <winsock2.h> is incompatible and if the
application wants to use the latter, it may be convenient to define
wxUSE_WINSOCK2 when building wxWidgets instead of having to work around
winsock.h implicit inclusion from include/wx/msw/wrapwin.h.

This basically removes the "adv" library, even though it's still
preserved for compatibility with user make/project files referring to
it.
It is done because the distinction between "adv" and "core" was never
really clear (e.g. why wxTreeCtrl was in core but wxTreeListCtrl in
adv?) and it prevented some core classes from using adv ones.
Add wxIconBundle to the list in the Overview of Available Classes /
Image and bitmap classes as well as to the documentation page for
wxIcon.
