33cb18f5e1 Link to the installation instructions from the main manual page 
Installation is traditionally the worst (or at least the first) problem
for new wxWidgets users, so make it simpler to find these instructions.

0a10bfc63e Fix wrong @subpage usage on the main manual page 
Using @subpage multiple times with the pages we wanted to just link to
resulted in them appearing twice in the tree shown in the CHM file.

Just use @ref when a link is wanted instead.

3f66f6a5b3 Remove all lines containing cvs/svn "$Id$" keyword. 
This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.

If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

238188550e Updated out of date versions and release dates. 
Mentioned more files in tn0011.txt that need version updating, and made it more clear which ones need to be changed manually. Modified inc_release to update docs/readme.txt and changed the version references in the readme.txt to 2.9.3. Also changed two references to the month of release from July to December.

526954c596 Globally use "wxWindows licence" consistently. 
Use "wxWindows licence" and not "wxWidgets licence" (the latter doesn't
exist) and consistently spell "licence" using British spelling.

6e3837d003 Replace remaining references to 2.9.0 with 2.9.1. 
Also update the tech note listing the places that need to be changed when a
new version is released and the script which updates them automatically.

Finally update a couple of copyright years.

29f86fc182 Restored the old Classes by Category page to live side-by-side with the full Classes by Category grouping. 
Also changed the license pages to include the actual license files verbatim rather than duplicated in comments.
Cleaned up the Development Tips page a little fixing some minor issues and wrapping at 80 columns.
Recategorized the WXDEBUG_NEW() macro from the RTTI group to the Debugging group.

de2b67e699 Converted bitmaps to PNG (saving 600KB+), flattened any transparent PNGs in case of incompatible browsers/printing, and renamed a number of images to indicate what page it's used on.

2bdba54504 the manual doxygen generates by default is for the C++ interface only; the wxPython and wxPerl-specific stuff can be enabled by the relative WXPERL_MANUAL and WXPYTHON_MANUAL 'sections'
