Use the same logic for creating the pages of this book control as for
all the other ones and keep only wxTreebook-specific "depth" and
"expanded" nodes handling in this class.
This struct is finally going to have to be declared in the header as it
will be needed by wxTreebookXmlHandler when it's modified to derive from
wxBookCtrlXmlHandlerBase too.
Also add GetImageId() function to the struct while moving it.
Add new wxBookCtrlXmlHandlerBase and inherit the XRC handlers of all the
wxBookCtrlBase-derived classes except for wxTreebookXmlHandler, which
will require special handling, from it to avoid duplicating the same
code in all of them.
This commit is best viewed with --color-moved git option.
This class is only implemented when wxUSE_BOOKCTRL==1 as its code uses
it, so it shouldn't be declared when wxUSE_BOOKCTRL==0 neither.
This fixes wxiOS build problem after the latest changes.
Do it for consistency with the existing GetBitmap() overload and also
because this can be useful when we need to test for the bitmap bundle
presence before using it.
Also document both the new overload and the original one, which was
mistakenly left undocumented when it was added.
This replaces 4 calls to GetBitmap() with a single one.
Note that we now use SetBitmapPressed() and SetBitmapCurrent(), which
take wxBitmapBundle, instead of deprecated SetBitmapSelected() and
SetBitmapFocus(), which do not.
We also search for the parameter node only once instead of doing it
twice in a row if it was found, so the new code is slightly more
efficient.
This reverts commit a34ab31453, reversing
changes made to 783df59e66.
Undo the addition of wxBitmapBundle support to XRC, as it is finally
going to be done in a different way soon -- but for now just remove it
to ensure that nobody starts using it before it's finalized.
See #2633.
Closes#22014.
This changed the type of the art and client ID values, which broke
compatibility with existing code, notably in wxPython (see
https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/1996), and the attempts to
fix this compatibility broke it with all the existing code using
wxART_MAKE_ART_ID() or wxART_MAKE_CLIENT_ID() for their own IDs.
Keep things simple and just define the macros as they were defined
before 4552009805 (Merge branch 'pr1312-no-unsafe-wxstring-conv',
2020-07-20), except for wxART_MAKE_CLIENT_ID_FROM_STR() whose argument
and produced value was already of wxString type, and use wxASCII_STR()
at the place of use of wxART_XXX constants in wx code.
This is obviously not ideal as it will require using wxASCII_STR() in
the application code as well, but seems to be the least evil.
This function basically only exists in order to be used in this handler,
so extend it to allow doing it by adding wxAnimationCtrlBase argument to
it, allowing it to create wxAnimation object compatible with the given
control.
This reduces code duplication and, incidentally, makes GetAnimation()
more useful for any user-defined XRC handlers.
Add a new flag wxXRC_USE_ENVVARS for wxXmlResourceFlags that triggers a
call to wxExpandEnvVars() for bitmap, icon and animation paths.
This flag is not set by default to avoid silently changing the behaviour
of existing applications.
Closes https://github.com/wxWidgets/wxWidgets/pull/1445
This basically removes the "adv" library, even though it's still
preserved for compatibility with user make/project files referring to
it.
It is done because the distinction between "adv" and "core" was never
really clear (e.g. why wxTreeCtrl was in core but wxTreeListCtrl in
adv?) and it prevented some core classes from using adv ones.
Translate all strings in the new GetNodeText() function replacing the
old GetText() which was mostly used for translatable strings before --
except that <item> tag contents didn't use it because it also performed
string unescaping, not wanted for the control items, in addition to
translation.
Replace the old GetText() (while still keeping it for compatibility,
i.e. to avoid breaking any custom XRC handlers using it) with the new
function which is more flexible and can be used for all tags.
No real changes, this is just a refactoring.
This doesn't make sense, these functions can only be ever used with a single
parameter ("cellpos" for the former and "cellspan" for the latter), so just
hard-code it inside the functions themselves.
No real changes, just make the code less confusing.
Introduce a new type for XRC values imaginatively called just "pair of
integers" which can be used for values not expressed in pixels and hence for
which it doesn't make sense to use dialog units nor to scale them by the DPI.
Use this new type for wxGridBagSizer position and span elements to prevent
them from being changed when using higher than normal DPI.
Closes#17592.
Add XRC handler for wxAuiManager and include the existing wxAuiNotebook
handler into it (but notice that wxAuiToolBar handler added by a later #15686
in f269f868d7 remains separate).
Also update the AUI dialog in the sample and stop hardcoding its size in
pixels.
See #13520.
Factor out this code to a reusable ParseValueInPixels() function instead of
repeating it in GetSize() and GetDimension() (and using a hack to reuse it
from GetPosition()).
No real changes, just made some error messages more precise.
This allows to give the exact line number of the error, unlike asserts that
happen in wxSizer code which don't point exactly to the error location when
sizers are created via XRC.
It also has the advantage of allowing to detect wrong use of wxALIGN_LEFT and
wxALIGN_TOP, unlike the asserts which can't do it because the value of both of
these flags is 0.
A few $Id$ references remained after commit
3f66f6a5b3 or appeared in newly added files.
Remove the lines containing svn keywords except when it concerns
third-party files. In that case keep the line as-is or collapse it to the
keyword if it had been expanded to contain wx commit information (only
occurs with src/zlib/ChangeLog).
The only attribute for this control is a boolean "running" which can be set to
start the indicator on load.
Update the schema, documentation and the XRC sample.
Similar to wxNotebook but even simpler as wxSimplebook doesn't use images.
Also add wxSimplebook::Create() as the version inherited from wxBookCtrlBase
didn't _quite_ work: we need to add wxBK_TOP style to prevent asserts due to
unknown alignment in the base class when creating wxSimplebook.

This port is not used and is not being worked on, so remove it to reduce the
amount of the code which needs to be updated for every global change.

because it avoids the unexpected wxEVT_SHOW events being generated.

This fixes the DLL build of aui library as it can now be linked without
leaving any unresolved dependencies to the code in xml library (where
wxXmlNode is implemented).

'dir' is not very descriptive (of course it's a direction!), it's better
to include 'default' in the name to indicate this is the default value
to use in absence of a specific one.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

Not sure if this results in any real problems but at the very least memory
checking tools give errors about reading uninitialized memory in
wxXmlResourceHandlerImpl::CreateResource() if we leave them uninitialized, so
do initialize all the pointers.

wxXmlResourceHandlerImplBase::GetAnimation() returned wxAnimation by value
which created references to wxAnimationCtrlNameStr and wxNullAnimation
symbols, defined in the "adv" library, in "core" when using Sun CC even though
they were not referenced directly.
Fix this by returning wxAnimation by pointer to keep it opaque for "core" code.

Including this header from wx/xrc/xmlres.h itself only when WXMAKINGDLL_XRC is
defined doesn't work when we're building a static library and not a shared/DLL
one and we don't have any symbol defined in this case, so just don't try to be
smart and include this header from the files that need it.
This fixes breakage of r72756.
