This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

Extract wxModalDialogHook from wx/testing.h into its own wx/modalhook.h,
extend it to allow to be notified not only about showing modal dialogs but
also about dismissing them and document it and show its use in the dialogs
sample.
Also replace all the WX_TESTING_SHOW_MODAL_HOOK macros occurrences with
WX_HOOK_MODAL_DIALOG.

Use the same short names as are used by the event table macros for the event
type constants themselves. This makes them much more comfortable to use, e.g.
Bind(wxEVT_BUTTON) compared to Bind(wxEVT_COMMAND_BUTTON_CLICKED).
The old long names are still kept for backwards compatibility and shouldn't be
removed as it doesn't really cost anything to continue providing them, but all
new event types should only use the short versions.

This reverts r72978, 72984, 72989 and 72992. Do not use wxNOEXCEPT for
wxTextCtrl dtor as this breaks compilation of any user-defined classes
inheriting from it unless they use wxNOEXCEPT as well and the benefits
(fixing a harmless warning for the niche ICC compiler) are just not worth
the compatibility breakage.

For some reason (rename of the old wxTHICK_FRAME to wxRESIZE_BORDER?) we
tested for wxRESIZE_BORDER twice in a couple of places. Don't do it for
clarity.

The company behind MGL toolkit (SciTech) doesn't exist since several years and
this port is not used by anybody, so remove it to ease maintenance burden.

Removed wxNotebook::DoGetBestClientSize to let wxBookCtrlBase::DoGetBestSize do its job and fix the best size of a wxNotebook (formerly when running the notebook sample the notebook was not wide enough).

Many wxUniv controls had a way too small best size which was noticeable when running e.g. the widgets sample. Regression started in r61169 where wxWindowBase::DoGetClientBestSize() was introduced but that virtual function already existed in wxUniv's wxWindow. Removing wxUniv's wxWindow::DoGetBestSize and wxWindow::DoGetBestClientSize fixes sizing issues.

The AdjustSize renderer function for wxUniv's GTK and MSW theme adjusted the size of a scrollbar while it already had the correct size, resulting in scrollbars being twice as wide. Fixed by not adjusting the size of a scrollbar anymore in AdjustSize.

Make use of HasImageList() and GetImageList() instead of accessing the now private m_imageList directly. Fixed for wxUniv, wxGTK1, and wxOS2 (the latter 2 blindly). Changes are similar to r68856 and should have been a part of that.

Additionally renamed wxOSX' private wxNativePrinterDC::Ok() function to IsOk().
Didn't deprecate the various Ok() functions: given the amount of changes already introduced in 3.0 a trivial one like this seems more suitable for after 3.0.

Applied patch by snowleopard2 fixing a bunch of typos such as misspellings and double words in the documentation. Combined the patch with some local queued typos waiting to be committed as well as adding new typo fixes inspired by the patch.
Function names with American spelling were not changed nor was third-party code touched. The only code changes involve some changes in strings that are translated ("Can not" -> "Cannot").

Fixed commented names (path, filename, and extension) of files in include/ and src/. Prepended the names in src/ with "src/" everywhere, while starting those in include/wx/ with "wx/".

This is an incompatible change which removes the wxStaticText-specific
wxST_MARKUP style and adds wxControl::SetLabelMarkup() replacing it.
It doesn't actually change anything yet but it simplifies wxStaticText code a
lot by getting rid of many markup-related functions in it which had to behave
differently depending on whether wxST_MARKUP was used or not and also paves
way for adding markup support for the other controls in the future.

This parameter was never needed nor properly documented. Simply remove it from
SetTickFreq() and keep the overload still taking it for backwards
compatibility only.

The RTTI macros are now used in common code only and having them in wxUniv too
results in linker errors because of duplicate symbols. Just remove them to fix
this.

Recent replacement of size_t wxNotebook::m_selection with int
wxBookCtrlBase::m_selection resulted in appearance of many warnings in wxUniv
wxNotebook. Fix them by removing some now unnecessary casts between int and
size_t and adjusting the remaining ones.

All book control classes with the exception of wxGTK wxNotebook stored the
currently selected page in m_selection or m_nSelection (or, in wxUniv
wxNotebook case, m_sel) variable. Remove all of them and add m_selection
directly to the base class itself so that it can be reused everywhere.

Detect when incompatible styles are used (this required changing the value of
wxCHK_2STATE to be non-null) and sanitize the styles (after asserting) in this
case.
Put the validation code in wxCheckBoxBase instead of having slightly different
versions of it in port-specific wxCheckBox implementations.
Add a unit test checking that the expected asserts are indeed generated.

Ensure that we have enough elements in the array used by
wxSystemSettings::GetColour() in wxUniv to avoid the assert which happened
when e.g. wxSYS_COLOUR_LISTBOXTEXT was requested from it. This resulted in
an infinite stream of asserts and a crash when trying to use wxTreeCtrl in
wxUniv.

Don't duplicate the code for setting (and unsetting, which was forgotten by at
least wxGTK) the popup menu invoking window in all ports but do it in the base
class PopupMenu() itself.
Also add a helper wxMenuInvokingWindowSetter class which ensures that the
invoking window will be unset in any case.

SetInvokingWindow() is only called for the top menu being popped up itself but
the invoking window should also be associated with its submenus.
Modify GetInvokingWindow() to return the parents invoking window for submenus.
This fixes a crash due to returning NULL from wxMenu::GetWindow() in wxMSW
owner-drawn code.
And it also makes redundant some code in wxUniversal wxMenu implementation
which can now simply use GetInvokingWindow() in all cases.

GetParentForModalDialog() was called from the ctor initialized list before
m_windowStyle could be initialized by the base class ctor in several different
places, meaning that the check for wxDIALOG_NO_PARENT in this function was
using uninitialized variable.
Fix this by passing the style parameter explicitly to this function to allow
using it from derived class ctors. Still keep an overload which uses the
actual window parent and flags which is simpler to use for later calls to this
function.
Thanks valgrind for finding this one.

This will allow reusing it in wxComboBox implementation as well.
Also add SendTextUpdatedEventIfAllowed() which can be used to only send the
events if they were not blocked at wxTextEntry level.
No real changes otherwise.

DrawButtonLabel() crosses out the buttons to indicate that they are disabled
(for lack of any other options in mono renderer) but this looks really bad for
the labels, so don't do it.

wxControlRenderer::DrawLabel() was used by both wxStaticText and wxButton but
their labels may need to be drawn differently and wxRenderer does have
different DrawLabel() and DrawButtonLabel() to do it. Now also add a separate
method for the buttons to wxControlRenderer.

As some wxUniv classes implement DoGetBestClientSize(), the new code in
wxWindow::DoGetBestSize() implementation calls DoGetBorderSize() which asserts
because it's not implemented, making it impossible to even start the minimal
sample -- fix this.

This change fixes multiple g++ 4 warnings about unsafe expressions with
bit-wise operators (completely justified, for once, as the expressions were
absolutely incomprehensible and almost certainly incorrect too) and refactors
the determination of where to draw the slider labels in a single function
instead of triplicating it.
Also reformat to follow wxWidgets conventions and use more clear variable
names.

This old name function conflicted with the one in wxRenderer in wxUniv and
also was misleading as this function draws only a bitmap and not the entire
wxRadioButton control.
The old workaround for the warnings about the function names conflict was ugly
and unmaintainable, as proven by the fact that wxRenderer method signature
already became different from the wxRendererNative one.

Calls to SetStatusText() in between Push/PopStatusText() were simply lost
before, now the text explicitly changed by SetStatusText() is preserved by the
next call to PopStatusText().
This required adding a new virtual method, called DoUpdateStatusText(), which
is now implemented in all the derived classes instead of overriding
SetStatusText() (on the bright side, it doesn't need to do any checks already
done in the base class any more).
Also fix PushStatusText() to actually show the text being pushed at all under
wxMSW as a side effect.
And further reduce code duplication between wxStatusBarBase and the derived
classes.
