This reverts commit b6d305e4f2 because
silently discarding images using a different scale factor is simply too
user-unfriendly: this can silently break the existing code, i.e. it can
still compile perfectly and not give any errors during run-time but not
show any images neither.
Also revert most of dc43d15cf7 (Add tests of storing HiDPI images in
generic wxImageList (wxOSX, wxGTK3), 2021-04-05) as these tests don't
pass any longer because the behaviour was intentionally changed.
See #22189.
Replace old functions with the new ones in the library code itself.
Note that wxSTC and wxRichText still use GetScaledXXX(), but they're
different functions that might need to be renamed/dealt with separately.
Don't leave m_useMask and m_scaleFactor uninitialized -- even if this
probably doesn't matter, call Create() to make sure they have
well-defined values for the default-constructed objects.
Sizing the images stored in the list should stick to the convention
adopted in the native wxImageList implemented in wxMSW.
Images stored in the list should have the sizes as it is declared for
the list even if provided bitmaps have different sizes.
In case of discrepancies their dimensions should be adjusted accordingly
(cropped or extended).
Bitmaps stored in the list as a result of replacing existing ones should
conform to the same constraints as bitmaps directly added to the list.
These constraints are applied in the shared GetImageListBitmap() function
called both on adding and replacing the images.
Wee need to assure that bitmap added to the internal collection always
have a mask. If necessary this mask is created from alpha channel values.
Also, for compatibility with wxMSW implementation we need to prevent
the bitmap from having both a mask and alpha channel.
If wxBitmap with mask is added to wxImageList that doesn't support masks
we need to convert a bitmap mask to alpha channel values prior to adding
bitmap to the list to preserve bitmap transparency.
There doesn't seem to be any point in storing pointers to wxBitmap or
wxIcon and storing the objects directly allows to avoid an extra heap
allocation and all the code dealing with freeing memory when replacing
or removing images from the list, making things much simpler.
Also use wxVector<> for storage instead of the obsolete and ugly
wxObjectList.
There shouldn't be any user-visible changes.
Get rid of wxOSX wxImageList implementation as it was 99% identical to
the generic version and the non-identical parts should really have been
made part of the generic version too from the beginning.
Notably, use GetScaled{Width,Height}() in Add() method in the generic
version too now.
This port is not used and is not being worked on, so remove it to reduce the
amount of the code which needs to be updated for every global change.
Also remove tests for VisualAge compiler which isn't used since ages.

This keyword is not expanded by Git which means it's not replaced with the
correct revision value in the releases made using git-based scripts and it's
confusing to have lines with unexpanded "$Id$" in the released files. As
expanding them with Git is not that simple (it could be done with git archive
and export-subst attribute) and there are not many benefits in having them in
the first place, just remove all these lines.
If nothing else, this will make an eventual transition to Git simpler.

The platform targeted by this port doesn't exist any more and the port never
achieved really working state so remove the code to avoid having to maintain
it.

Additionally renamed wxOSX' private wxNativePrinterDC::Ok() function to IsOk().
Didn't deprecate the various Ok() functions: given the amount of changes already introduced in 3.0 a trivial one like this seems more suitable for after 3.0.

Applied patch by snowleopard2 fixing a bunch of typos such as misspellings and double words in the documentation. Combined the patch with some local queued typos waiting to be committed as well as adding new typo fixes inspired by the patch.
Function names with American spelling were not changed nor was third-party code touched. The only code changes involve some changes in strings that are translated ("Can not" -> "Cannot").
Closes#13063 (again).

list of the bitmap is n times as wide as the
image width of the image list. This was the case
in the MSW image list before.
