223d09f6b5 replaced T() makro with wxT() due to namespace probs, _T() exists, too 
fixed compilation problems, mainly in html code
compiles and links fine on Solaris, runs with samples and Mahogany

0c5d3e1ccd 1. added a brief overview of Unicode support 
2. added and documented wxBITMAP() macros (as wxICON)
3. restructured wxFont class, added support of encoding parameter
4. regenerated makefiles to compile the new fontcmn.cpp file
5. corrected bug with non existing files in document-view history

d22699b5eb 1. minor headers rearrangement: wxprec.h doesn't include setup.h directly 
any more, btu defs.h does - and not in the very beginning, but a bit
   later
2. some unused and uncompileable OS2 thing removed from string.cpp

dcf924a345 Added zillions of #if wxUSE_XXX 
Removed cmndlgs usage of wxSizer and constraints
  Changed occurences of wxConv_xxx to wxConvXxxx and
    changed some wxConvLibc to wxConvCurrent
  Added Unicode tests to typetests (not finished)
  Compile fix for wxString in Unicode mode - we have
   to use the "experimental" printf then, I guess.

    as this is undefined anywhere outside wxGTK itself)

3e473156c6 If you look at the conversion and character set code at the bottom of 
string.cpp (and the #includes), maybe someone will think that it should
be moved into a separate file. (I'd agree but not bother yet.)
(And someone added literals without _T() in imaggif.cpp again)

2bb67b808b Unicode support for wxString (wxchar.cpp won't compile without it, so I 
figured I couldn't hold it back anyway).
Added many macros. Changed most char to wxChar, and literals wrapped in _T().
Added conversion classes. Added new constructors to wxString, and mb_str(),
wc_str(), and fn_str() (the last is mb_str() on Unix and c_str() on Windows,
since Windows takes file names in Unicode (I think), while Unix doesn't).
Rewrote wxString::Printf().

57493f9f85 more things are done by configure: checks for bool, whether overloading based 
on size_t/int works or not (for wxString), the type of 3rd argument to
getsockaddr, absence of libXpm is not fatal (not tested), whether strings.h
exists

ba681060f3 1. wxLoad/SaveFileSelector return "wxString" instead of "char *"
