0e1f8ea4a3 Remove wxMGL port. 
The company behind MGL toolkit (SciTech) doesn't exist since several years and
this port is not used by anybody, so remove it to ease maintenance burden.

bd362275b8 Remove Palm OS port. 
The platform targeted by this port doesn't exist any more and the port never
achieved really working state so remove the code to avoid having to maintain
it.

526954c596 Globally use "wxWindows licence" consistently. 
Use "wxWindows licence" and not "wxWidgets licence" (the latter doesn't
exist) and consistently spell "licence" using British spelling.

See #12165.

03647350fc No changes, just removed hard tabs and trailing white space. 
This commit is huge but there are no non-white-space changes in it.

Some files containing third-party sources (src/msw/wince/time.cpp,
src/x11/pango*.cpp) were left unchanged.

23790a2a29 add wxGetLinuxDistributionInfo() and wxPlatformInfo::GetLinuxDistribution() functions; also add to wxPlatformInfo the GetOperatingSystemDescription(), GetDesktopEnvironment(), GetOperatingSystemDirectory() functions to group in the same class (wxPlatformInfo) all available platform-detection functions

8ab09e65f9 Fixed OS/2 specific defines (there's no such thing as WXOS2). 
Added the more commonly used wxPORT_PM as alias for wxPORT_OS2.

b98bd6af23 wxPlatformInfo::IsUsingUniversalWidgets() was broken by design, it couldn't work in wxBase shared by 2+ wxCores; fixed by making it non-static and moving its implementation back to wxAppTraits (where its equivalent used to be) and making small API changes implied by that
