9a83f86094 Globally replace _T() with wxT(). 
Standardize on using a single macro across all wxWidgets sources and solve the name clash with Sun CC standard headers (see #10660).

de4983f323 split wxCharTypeBuffer<T> into wxScopedCharTypeBuffer<T> and wxCharTypeBuffer<T> -- the former is for transient data with validity limited to parent's lifetime, the latter is for permanent storage of string data (bug #9638)

7978bc7293 remove implicit conversion to C strings from wxString if wxUSE_STL=1; this fixes problems with converting between wxString and std::string in some situations at the cost of having to use c_str() explicitly just as you have to when using std::string

c9f7896861 first phase of transition to unified Unicode build: 
1. changed c_str() to return wxCStrData (implicitly convertible to wxChar*)
2. added template type-safe wrappers for vararg functions
3. added wxUniChar class representing single Unicode character
4. changed wxString::operator[] and wxString::iterator to return wxUniChar

b26ed94e4f The cyrillic characters used in the CaseChanges() test have different values 
on different platforms depending on the cyrillic character set used. So try
generating these from the Unicode instead of using fixed values.

24c96d96bc wx_wcscmp is only used in unicode mode so wrap in #if wxUSE_UNICODE to avoid 
a warning about an unused function, and clean up the function at the same time.
